ANGELOS GERMIDIS
Angelos Germidis, born 1967, has graduated from Paris School of Mines and holds a PhD in Materials Science.
But since the age of 12, he has devoted most of his free time to art, spearfishing and later, underwater photography.
Beginning in 1994, until 2014, Angelos has been writing for the French Freediving and Spearfishing magazine Apnea, winning prizes three times at the Apnea Reportage Contest, held at the Underwater Image Festival in Antibes. The first time was together with Eric Clua.
In 2001, he cofounded Teak Sea, a high-end wooden speargun company, based in Greece.
Angelos has spearfished and photographed in many many corners of the world. Since 2011, he spent 4 years in Indonesia, on the Island of Bali. Angelos still freedives every week, with a camera or a speargun in his hands, depending on the agenda.
